FC Tucson announces sponsorship with CARF International

Partnership to help soccer fans understand CARF's role in the health and human services industry

Tucson, Arizona (Wednesday, February 6, 2013) -- FC Tucson announced today a partnership with CARF International. As part of this partnership, FC Tucson will help soccer fans learn about CARF International's role in health and human services.

"Every day soccer fans around the world come into contact with services accredited by CARF International and they don't even know it," said FC Tucson Chief Business Officer Chris Keeney. "We want our fans and all soccer fans to know their story and understand why CARF's role in the health and human services industry matters."

CARF International is an independent, nonprofit accreditor of health and human services. CARF-accredited service providers have applied CARF's comprehensive set of internationally recognized standards for quality to their business and service delivery.

Accreditation is something people often look for when evaluating service providers for themselves or their loved ones. Accreditation demonstrates a provider's commitment to continuously improve its service quality and to focus on the satisfaction of the persons who are receiving services. Accreditation matters when people want to be confident in their choice of providers.

"This partnership will allow CARF to share the soccer tournament experience with local not-for-profit organizations that serve persons with disabilities, children, and families by providing complimentary tickets to the games," Brian J. Boon, Ph.D., president/CEO of CARF, said. "Providing this opportunity to local organizations is a way to build bridges of goodwill and support for our community. It also publicly recognizes the therapeutic value of sports and recreation and the inclusion of all persons with varying abilities to participate in sports."

CARF is proud to partner with FC Tucson and the Desert Diamond Cup as a tribute to team building, overcoming obstacles, and personal achievement.
