January 4, 2016, Tucson, Arizona — CARF International Chief Accreditation Officer and General Counsel Darren M. Lehrfeld announced that Shanna R. Lawson, M.P.A., has accepted an appointment as account manager beginning January 1, 2016.
Lawson has been a CARF resource specialist helping organizations prepare for accreditation since 2008. Before joining CARF, Lawson worked in the behavioral health and child and youth services fields with experience in quality improvement management, accreditation readiness, and direct service provision. Lawson earned a master’s degree in public administration from Upper Iowa University. “All of these experiences provide Shanna with an excellent foundation to drive and advance CARF’s delivery of customer service excellence to CARF’s growing customer base in the rapidly changing domestic and global health and human services marketplaces,” Lehrfeld said.
As account manager, Lawson will play a prominent role at CARF by providing operational management for its Account Services department, initially responsible for the Behavioral Health and Child and Youth Services customer service units. As account manager, Lawson will direct a team of professionals to deliver excellent customer service that assists providers with conformance to international standards of quality and supports them through the accreditation lifecycle.
